Job Description (General Summary)

Laitram Machinery, Inc. has a position available for a Weld Clean Technician.  This individual will be a key player in fabrication operations at our Harahan, LA location.  Applicants should be self-starters, able to complete tasks with little direct supervision.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Intake new items for processing.
  • Clean and prepare welded equipment for chemical treatment.
  • Apply chemical treatment to welded equipment in accordance with procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Identify HOT, inner company, and service orders and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Inspect work to ensure welds are clean and quality meets Laitram standards.
  • Move completed work to the correct next step in the production process.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow a work schedule and meet due dates.
  • Ability to shift focus based on changing plans and priorities.
  • Ability to be self-managed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pounds.
