Responsibilities: • Supervise the Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians and Quality Inspectors in our Assembly and Make to Stock production areas. This is inclusive of belt assembly, module cutting, rod cutting, Make to Stock assembly, and Make to Stock automation cells.
• Train and mentor quality team to enhance their product knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and root cause determination.
• Lead by example through an action-oriented, “on the Production floor” hands-on approach to resolution of quality issues.
• Drive team purpose and direction through simplified organizational tools and metrics.
• Collaborate with the quality technical group to implement and develop statistical methods of process control and improvement, ensuring daily adherence to processes and procedures.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of quality drawings, specifications, control plans, and the Quality Management System.
• Ensure that specifications, standard processes, and operations are maintained, and that due care is taken in the manufacture of the product.
• Audit the quality system to ensure adherence to QMS procedures.
• Evaluate causes of scrap and work towards eliminating such defects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and direct associates on quality standards.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in quality, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, production control methods, best practices in engineering controls, and industrial time study techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and shop floor employees.
• Ability to work with all departments to ensure effective teamwork, maintain proper equipment, and motivate personnel for efficient system operation.
• Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the goals of the plant and corporation.
• Experience with a wide variety of visual dimensional inspection methods and equipment, understanding the strengths and limitations of each.
• Quantitative understanding of measurement precision, accuracy, and uncertainty, with the ability to optimize measurement effectiveness.
• Skilled in data analysis and presentation, including basic statistics, process capability analysis, and gage R&R’s.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Availability to work overtime and on weekends as required.
• Ability to travel internationally on occasion.
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Previous Intralox experience in Production environment and/or LMH division desired.
• Current ASQ CQE certification, or the background to obtain certification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, or the background to obtain certification.
• Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
