Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C. Quality Department has an opening for a Quality Assurance Inspector in our Hammond, LA facility. This position will report for our “C” shift, a 12-hour 7am – 7pm "Days Only", schedule in the Assembly factory. Overtime may be required based on Production needs.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Performs required inspections by utilizing quality tools and equipment to capture measurement data.
  • Interprets product specifications and tolerances on quality drawings accurately during inspections.
  • Identifies non-conformances, leads containment efforts, and documents all findings and results.
  • Utilizes technical audit program by performing audits plant-wide.
  • Elevates the need for the setting and updating of product specifications.
  • Elevates the need for development and improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Supports quality investigations and provides accurate and timely data collection when needed.
  • Participates in the quality training program.
  • Supports and/or participates in continuous improvement efforts
  • Adheres to time and attendance policies. Work to be performed on site at the facility

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work experience in a manufacturing quality environment or in plastics injection molding.
  • Professional quality certifications (ASQ, QAI, CSSC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in standard computer software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for learning and growth with a demonstrated record of self-management.
  • Proven track record of making consistent, logical, and objective decisions using good judgment.
  • Ability to presume good intentions and exhibit trust in workplace relationships.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong ability to solicit buy in. 

Desired Skills:
  • Basic understanding of measurement systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in interpretation of quality drawings and sampling plans.
