Job Description (General Summary)

We are looking for a strategic and technically grounded Oracle ERP Manager to lead the ongoing evolution of our enterprise resource planning systems. This role will be instrumental in stabilizing, optimizing, and preparing our Oracle ERP environment for future transformation — including a potential transition to Oracle Fusion Cloud within the next several years.

You’ll oversee a large, highly skilled team, ensuring the current on-premises system runs efficiently and continues to support our business operations, while also laying the groundwork for modernization and cloud readiness. This role demands strong technical expertise, effective team leadership, and the ability to drive change in a complex, fast-paced enterprise setting.

Why Join Us:

Impactful Work: Take ownership of a foundational enterprise system supporting core business functions.

Leadership Opportunity: Lead and mentor a high-impact team in a mission-critical domain.

Future-Ready: Shape the organization’s ERP future by guiding readiness for Oracle Cloud transition.

Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a robust bonus/incentive package and a collaborative work environment.

Award-Winning Benefits: Benefit from our comprehensive and award-winning benefits package.

Professional Growth: Access continuous learning opportunities and career development programs.

Innovative Culture: Be part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations, support, and enhancement of our existing Oracle ERP environment (on-premises).
  • Guide long-term planning efforts for ERP modernization and cloud-readiness, including architectural assessments, skill development, and business alignment.
  • Manage a team of 58 ERP professionals, including 4 direct reports overseeing functional and technical sub-teams.
  • Ensure system integrity, performance, security, and scalability across modules including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and HR.
  • Partner with business leaders and IT stakeholders to align ERP capabilities with evolving organizational needs and strategic goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, including automation, data quality, documentation, and governance.
  • Champion change management efforts in anticipation of broader ERP transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging Oracle technologies and best practices relevant to the organization’s long-term roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred and considered a strong plus.
  • 15+ years of experience with Oracle ERP systems, including deep functional and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership of large ERP teams, with experience managing people managers and cross-functional technical groups.
  • Experience supporting complex, enterprise-scale ERP environments and leading initiatives to streamline processes and enhance system performance.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud (Financials, Manufacturing, SCM, HCM) — not necessarily hands-on implementation, but clear understanding of the architecture and transition path.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strategic mindset and operational discipline.

Preferred

  • Prior involvement in ERP transformation planning or early-stage cloud readiness initiatives.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle Database).
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similarly structured industries.
  • Exposure to change management frameworks and enterprise architecture strategy.

Location

  • Preferred location: Harahan, LA or Baltimore, MD, with a hybrid work schedule (2–3 days per week in office).
  • Remote candidates will be considered; however, preference will be given to those located near our preferred office hubs.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
