Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill project requirements.
• Break down complex problems into smaller manageable tasks.
• Interview internal and external stakeholders to develop project requirements.
• Create and condition bills of material for the procurement of components.
• Develop products utilizing different methodologies including concurrent engineering, model-based designs, and modular components to produce standard, and configurable product platforms and families.
• Build in-depth understanding of Intralox’s Activated Roller Belt Technology.
• Assist in the execution of performance testing.
• Identify project risks and mitigate or disposition appropriately.
• Collaborate with a broad engineering team on complex electromechanical systems .
• Support the generation of product documentation and equipment manuals.
• Support equipment installation & start-up and assist with troubleshooting issues, sometimes at customer sites.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial machine design or related field.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or comparable degree .
• Proficient at creating detailed parts, weldments, assemblies, and installation drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with commonly used GD&T concepts.
• Computer proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and MS Office.
• Ability to travel (approx. 10%) with little notice to support new product installation and troubleshooting; this often takes place on weekends and holidays to meet customer scheduling requirements.
• Self-managed individual who excels in a team environment.
• Hands-on approach to problem solving with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and climb ladders.
• Position based in our Intralox office in Hanover, MD.
Desired Qualifications:
• Autodesk Inventor experience, especially in sheet metal design, preferred.
• PTC Windchill experience preferred.
• Logistics & Material Handling equipment design experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of stage-and-gate style Development Process, such as but not limited to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Familiarity with SCRUM methodology.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans
Salary Range $74,300 to $174,300
