RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a force multiplier for the GM: protect time, manage priorities, and ensure follow-through on key actions.
- Own the calendar: schedule and optimize meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate travel: manage complex domestic and occasional international travel logistics.
- Draft and polish communications: correspondence, presentations, reports — always clear and professional. Take high-quality meeting notes: capture actions, follow-ups, and help ensure completion.
- Run point on logistics for company events, team meetings, and department communications
- Process expenses and liaise with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Handle internal and external inquiries with professionalism and good judgment.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Keep the office running smoothly — including occasional errands and maintaining organized filing systems.
- Take on special projects and administrative problem-solving as needed.
- Contributes to and executes important processes and lives the Laitram Continuous Improvement (LCI) Philosophy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred·
- A proactive mindset: You look for what needs to be done and do it before being asked.
- Excellent organizational skills: You can juggle multiple responsibilities without dropping the ball.
- Strong communication abilities: verbal and written, professional and clear.
- Tech-savvy: Microsoft Office Suite is second nature; bonus if you’ve used SharePoint, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
- Experience matters: 3+ years in a corporate administrative or support role.
- Discretion and judgment: You handle sensitive information carefully.
- A desire to grow with the company: You’re excited to take on more responsibility over time.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to run occasional errands.
- Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
