Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C. and a global leader in conveyor solutions, is seeking an Equipment Preventive Maintenance Technician for our plastics manufacturing facility in Harahan, Louisiana.

This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on injection molding machines, custom automation systems, and supporting production equipment. The role also provides maintenance support for equipment installations and improvement projects.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic systems on injection molding equipment.
• Calibrate and optimize injection molding machines for peak performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair auxiliary equipment associated with molding operations.
• Maintain and repair central blending system equipment.
• Accurately complete PM and maintenance documentation.
• Utilize schematics, blueprints, and work instructions to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support maintenance projects, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all technical skill levels.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment such as drill presses, bench grinders, and band saws.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts, including voltage, current, and resistance.

Preferred Qualifications
• Trade school or technical education.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial or automated equipment.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Previous plastics manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
