Job Description (General Summary)

Are you a driven sales professional interested in technical industrial processes? Laitram Machinery, LLC is currently seeking an Account Manager.  As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for developing and managing commercial relationships with existing customers and driving sales results to strengthen the market position. 

For over 70 years, Laitram Machinery has pioneered the manufacturing of high-performance shrimp-peeling equipment, and more recently, steam cookers, blanchers, nut pasteurizers, roasters, and sorters.  All of our products are designed to increase efficiency, improve product quality and yield for processors worldwide. Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities

• Cold outreach to qualified customers in the Pet Food segment
• Proactively schedule regular customer visits, conference calls, and presentations to fully understand customer problems and opportunities
• With customers, jointly develop comprehensive paybacks on Laitram technology
• Conduct on-site Demo testing of our technology in customer facilities to increase credibility of our Paybacks
• “Team sell” by pulling in the right team to help advance opportunities – Service, Engineering, Management
• Ultimately drive sales results and increase customer acquisition within Pet Food
• Develop and manage commercial relationships with existing customers.
• Promote and close service contact and parts sales with existing customers
• Embrace the Laitram business philosophy.

Requirements
• B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university. (Business or Engineering preferred)
• 4+ year experience working in sales or business development.
• A positive, confident outlook along with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality.
• Self-Management and 100% Ownership is critical; this role is the Commercial Lead for this business segment and will own results.
• Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills.
• An interest and aptitude in technical industrial processes.
• Good organizational skills, with attention to details.
• Capable of presenting an economic analysis (for example, cost/benefit analysis, payback analysis, etc.)
• Team selling and use of remote selling tools – emails, conference calls, webcasts, video conferencing, etc.
• The ability to travel up to 40% (domestic)

Desired Qualifications
• Experience with cold outreach in Payback selling
• Experience working in the Pet Food or Food industry.
• Industrial sales experience with solid commercial skills.
