As a part of the  manufacturing team, the Training Coordinator will identify and assess the training and development strategies for our assembly production personnel.

    • Coach & mentor new hires in assembly best practices
    • Facilitate instructor-led training courses
    • Perform competency assessments on new builders weekly
    • Track progress of new hires, making notes on areas of excellence and areas of improvement
    • Track progress through “Belt Curriculum,” ensuring opportunity to execute more challenging builds as they advance through the training program
    • Collaborate with other Team Leads to ensure appropriate daily work assignments for trainees
    • Establish and track short term production goals for each new hire
    • Observe & document new hire safety performance, attendance, work effort, and attitude
    • Recommend graduation date (exit from training program) and future lane assignment
    • Conduct lane-specific training and final exam (on the new lane) signifying graduation from training program.
    • Continuously improve the standards, processes, and deliverables to enhance the effectiveness of the learning experience.
    • Understand and assess how training plays a role in business needs identified by product/process audits and performance metrics.
    • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content and delivery.
    • Work must be performed on-site at the Harahan facility.

Requirements:

  • College degree.
  • Must possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to develop extensive knowledge of Intralox products
  • Self-managed with strong attention to detail.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
  • Possess knowledge of effective training techniques and curiosity to continuously learn.
  • Ability to work across departments to ensure effective teamwork and motivate personnel to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the training plan.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification in learning & development, communications, or a related field.
  • Training experience in a Production or Manufacturing environment
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering learning products in a business setting.
