Intralox, LLC, is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed person to serve as Sourcing Specialist in its Supply Chain Department.  This position is located in the Hanover, MD office reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

  • Work with the Intralox Baltimore (IBA) Supply Chain team (i.e. Buyers, Analysts and Supplier Development Engineers) to develop and execute sourcing strategies and tactics. 
  • Facilitate technical design transfer from various Engineering Teams – Global Equipment Standards Team (GEST), Order Engineering (OE) and Equipment Production Engineering Group (EPEG) – to qualified suppliers. 
  • Proactively manage “High Risk” vendors. Identifies areas of operational efficiency to de-risk current vendor standing. Is main point of contact internally and externally for “High Risk” vendors.   
  • Identify, research, and qualify potential new component suppliers to secure enhanced value-added sources of products and services. For potential component suppliers, the Sourcing Specialist and Quality team co-manage the deliverables of new vendor onboarding from project scope and definition through delivery.   
  • Manage high level negotiations, including supplier identification, development, quality and service level requirements, issue resolution, value generation and savings, and performance feedback. 
  • Address capacity and design for manufacturing issues with suppliers and engineers. 
  • Identify current and new suppliers’ capabilities and improvement opportunities. 


  • B.S. degree, preferably in a technical or business discipline. 
  • 3 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and supply chain management best practices. 
  • Must be a self-managed, hard-working, self-motivated individual. 
  • Work with personnel at all levels of the Company. 
  • Deep understanding of problem-solving techniques. 
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and the potential of long work hours. 
  • Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
