Responsibilities

  • Visual inspection of shaft orders verifying items are completed to routing prior to shipping
  • Crate, Ship, Label and Process shaft orders for customer deliveries
  • Arrange and prepare external shipments along with all shipping documentation, e.g. UPS, FedEx or Truck line
  • Work with Intralox crating or outside vendors to have crates built as needed for shipments
  • Prepare daily printout schedule for orders due that day
  • Use forklifts or Overhead cranes to deliver/move product as needed for department
  • Complete transactions through Job Pack “Air” and/or Oracle to obtain packing slips for customer delivery’s/shipments with accuracy
  • Recommend/Complete routing updates with correct work instructions and standards for routings
  • Exhibit teamwork and self - management
  • Meet or exceed production standards while exceeding customer expectations
  • Follow the attendance policy of the department
  • Work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • It is essential that this position is performed at the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year shipping or receiving experience
  • Experience operating a forklift 
  • Detail oriented – Able to read and understand drawings
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Experience working in a team environment and actively participating in meetings and group discussions
  • Stable work history 
  • Self-starting individual with the ability to trouble shoot and resolve issue 
  • Ability to make decisions and work in a fast pace lean manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organization and communicating skills
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description, including the requirement to lift and carry 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience operating a overhead crane
  • Previous experience with Oracle
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel
