  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet company, certification, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure sanitation standard operating practices (SSOPs) are followed and conduct quality audits as needed.
  • Coach and develop team members on productivity, quality, equipment operations, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure strong communication and collaboration within team, including serving as initial point of contact for team concerns.
  • Promote an environment of teamwork, cohesion and consistency.
  • Perform assigned and scheduled sanitation tasks.
  • Assist with sanitation program development, including scheduling and the creation and/or revision of SSOPs .
  • Collaborate with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to assure production equipment readiness and compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
  • Monitor sanitation supply inventory, facilitating orders as necessary.


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to exhibit teamwork and self-management practices.
  • Previous experience with scheduling work and leading/coordinating employee tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift almost exclusively.
  • Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description, including the requirement to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe sanitation practices and chemical handling.
  • Familiarity with MSS computer scheduling systems.
  • Lift equipment certification.
