Prime Shrimp is a young, rapidly growing division of Laitram that uses innovative technology to produce premium-quality Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) shrimp. Our state-of-the-art processing facility is located in the greater New Orleans area. 

Prime Shrimp is looking for high-energy, self-managed, and articulate Sales Associates to accelerate the success of the Commercial Sales organization through market research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, sales outreach and account management. This position presents the opportunity to play an integral role in the nationwide launch of a revolutionary product and service with huge potential across our target markets of chain restaurants, grocery and food service.  Meeting business objectives in our fast-paced, dynamic work environment requires a passion for learning and growth and the ability to switch between collaborative and self-managed situations with ease.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing every step of a sales lead-to-customer pipeline, both in real world execution and through accurate maintenance of a CRM program

• Conducting market research to identify sales leads and gather information across specified geographic regions and business sectors

• Working with prospective and existing customers to build relationships, understand needs and qualify opportunities

• Strategically using - and playing an active role in constantly improving - a sales toolkit encompassing brand messaging, digital assets and physical collateral

• Identifying, exploring and analyzing data points including industry trends, market response, sales metrics and internal KPIs to guide and measure the effectiveness of commercial efforts

• Demonstrating an entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality


• Bachelor’s degree – business, marketing, or similar

• Self-motivated, driven person who has a passion for sales

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and situational awareness

• Excellent written and oral communications skills – including strong phone skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Microsoft Office fluency

• Travel roughly 20-40%
