The Project Manager – Policy & Governmental Affairs will work closely with the Director of Governmental Affairs & Public Policy Initiatives on a variety of policy projects and provide support in analysis and research.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy Initiatives to stay up to date on new, pending, and up coming legislation that will impact the Laitram Business Philosophy and community engagement.
  • Research summarize and provide analysis on local, regional and state wide policy initiatives on which engaged, including issues related to criminal justice, sewage and water board, civil service, flood protection and ethics. 
  • Identify best practices for policy recommendations, including comparative jurisdiction analysis.
  • Research, summarize, and monitor current legislative materials.
  • Assist with project management and project coordinator tasks (meeting set-up/logistics, MS Teams site management, stakeholder follow up, tracking open action items, coordination, research, summarization, presentation deck and chart creation, etc). 


  • College degree required
  • Minimum two years Project Management experience and proven experience with leading large/complex initiatives
  • Prior experience or background in a legal, public policy, or journalism preferred
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
