Intralox, L.L.C. Quality Department has an opening for a Quality Assurance Specialist in our assembly operations facility. This position will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control, and ensure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.

• Review and analyze part measurement results, recommend changes to processes based upon findings, and perform follow-up to verify effectiveness.

• Makes consistent and principle-based decisions on inspection data and quality standards.

• Determines when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.

• Able to monitor production data systems for opportunities to reduce the percentage of defective parts produced.

• Facilitates and promotes use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action for investigations.

• Coordinates setting specifications in cooperation with the Minor Nonconformance Committee, Material Review Board, SPC Centering Process, QSRB, Assembly, and Engineering.

• Dispositions parts placed on hold following current processes and correctly records supporting details.

• Supports quality projects as dictated by the manufacturing business plan.

• Mentors and trains Quality Inspectors, Operators, and other staff.

• Training includes raising awareness of SPC, developing product knowledge and visual attributes, and training individuals on tools that assist in quality assurance, such as Keyence and Infinity.

• Maintains equipment calibration and calibration logs.

• Audits quality system ensuring adherence to Quality processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a technical field or minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong attention to detail; good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Passion for learning and growth with a demonstrated record of self-management.

• Able to make and communicate consistent, logical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in collaborative communication apps and tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, etc.).

• Understands how to be a team player; knows how to build trust.


Desired Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience working in the Quality Control or Quality Assurance division of a manufacturing company.

• ASQ Professional Certification.

• Statistical Process Control and/or Minitab experience.

• Thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.

• Ability to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

• Strong computer aptitude and database management/data mining experience.

• Keyence, CMM, or other measurement system expertise.
