Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a XML developer (up to 20 hours per week) to join our Technical Communications Group.

Intralox is transforming how we develop and deliver content, both to our customers and internally. To help support this effort, we have an opening for an XML developer to join our team and help design solutions that improve tech content creation, delivery, and consumption.

Responsibilities: 
  • Identify and implement solutions to gain efficiencies in tech content creation.
  • Contribute to the creation of efficient content lifecycles through automation and content delivery solutions.
  • Develop, update, and maintain outputs needed to support the tech content needs of the business.
  • Coordinate with the Component Content Management System (CCMS) admin to move improvements from development through implementation in our CCMS.
  • Support content creators and CCMS admin by troubleshooting and resolving issues identified in authoring tools and the CCMS.
  • Promote and support integrations and connections between content systems and content consumers.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
    • DITA and XML structures.
    • DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT).
    • Content management systems.
    • Developing PDF, HTML5, and WebHelp outputs.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with peers to lead by influence.
  • Proven ability working and collaborating with system owners, enterprise architects, and project teams to develop solutions and manage projects from idea to implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • A dynamic, motivated, self-managed individual capable of being a strong team player.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Tridion Docs would be preferred.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry or with physical equipment documentation would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams preferred.
