Oracle Infrastructure Architect
We are seeking an IT Architect who will lead in enterprise-wide planning around the infrastructure that supports our Oracle ERP. This space consists of both an on-prem Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) implementation and an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) implementation. The successful candidate will create and maintain a technology roadmap for related toolsets, will set standards in this domain, and will participate in the discovery and design of related initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a critical thinker, and a problem solver who can effectively lead on Oracle Infrastructure standards, roadmaps, and architectures.

Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a technical roadmap for related Oracle infrastructure technologies like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and NetApp Storage, VMware, and Cisco UCS.
- Create and maintain an inventory of the technologies in your portfolio, including their lifecycle status, overall health, and opportunities for rationalization and cost optimization.
- Drive Oracle Infrastructure architecture decisions by partnering with business and IT stakeholders to understand, validate, and rationalize needs across the global enterprise.
- Work within cross-functional teams of project managers, business analysts, architects, engineers, developers, and administrators to provide expertise in the planning and design of related technology initiatives.
- Align with other architects to ensure holistic thinking in the planning and design of initiatives.
- Design with lifecycles in mind: procurement, deployment, health monitoring and usage telemetry, patching and updating, and eventual migration and retirement.
- Design for a secure environment using CIS benchmarks or other security frameworks.
- Design with modern cloud principles of automation and, when appropriate, infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Create Architecture artifacts, like system design diagrams, to support decisions and capture as-is and future states.
Requirements:
- A master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certification: Relevant OCI certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate or Professional
- Proven experience effectively architecting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments with an eye towards ongoing optimization and cost management
- Proven experience effectively architecting and managing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments
- Proven experience in migrating on-premises Oracle databases and applications to OCI
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements for both on-premises and cloud environments
- Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases and applications
- Proven ability to help in organizing and sequencing business and IT-created initiatives
- Business acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate with executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot escalated, complex infrastructure issues
- Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures
Desired Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP): Certification in Oracle Database Administration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and related tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
