Responsibilities:
  • Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution.
  • Perform Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) apps DBA duties as assigned including code migrations, patching, cloning, backup and recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and tune Oracle E-Business and Non-ERP Oracle Databases. Contribute to technical performance analysis and enhancement.
  • Perform daily system health checks and monthly performance metrics to publish reports.
  • Monitoring setup using Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM).
  • Assist in planning and performing Oracle EBS and database upgrades and migrations.
  • Work with multiple application teams and developers.

Requirements:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information systems, or related curriculum
  • Minimum 8 years hands-on operational experience working as an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA, with technology including RAC, Data Guard, High Availability and Backup/Recovery.
  • Expertise with Oracle EBS and Oracle Databases, including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration, and administration of the applications.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member in cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for Database and Application administration including management/monitoring of the Oracle EBS, WebLogic servers, Oracle RDBMS, and performance tuning.
  • Responsible for monitoring existing Oracle instances to ensure high availability and performance of application and database services.
  • Responsible for backup and recovery to ensure the database data, application code, and custom code are properly processed in accordance with policies and best practices.
  • Experience administering Oracle Fusion / Cloud applications preferred.
  • Experience migrating On-Prem EBS environment to IaaS / PaaS model preferred.
  • Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments.
  • Assist development and functional team on service requests with Oracle.
  • Responsible for production support of Oracle applications, patch installation, and working service requests with Oracle.
  • Application and Database patching.
  • CPU (Critical Patch Upgrade) for Technology layer of various Oracle Components.
  • Management and maintenance of backup and recovery procedures.
  • Automate backup procedures and RMAN database backups.
  • Responsible for Testing backups to ensure recovery is possible and ensuring backups are taken in a timely manner.
  • Provide on-going application patching, environment refreshes and technical support.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Oracle R12.2 is a must.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical resources.
  • Self-managed self-starter.
  • Must work well within a collaborative, team environment.
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills.
