Responsibilities:

  • As part of the Intralox Baltimore Operations Team, the Inventory Supervisor will manage our Inventory Team.
  • Contribute to and execute important processes, develop people, ensure quality, monitor capacity and schedules, and live the Intralox Laitram Continuous Improvement (LCI) Philosophy.
  • Provides direct support for all inventory control and warehouse functions.
  • Perform daily cycle counting of inventory.
  • Perform general inventory control tasks and year-end special tasks, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Lead and conduct Inventory improvement projects as required.
  • Perform on-going consolidation of inventory.
  • Reports inventory metrics: Cycle Counting, Valuation, Capacity, etc.
  • Accurately executes all inventory counts and enters inventory data and adjustments into ERP system.
  • Respond to routine requests/issues and timely escalates issues requiring the involvement of others.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport materials.
  • Maintain continuous 100% accountability of people, equipment, and tools.
  • Arranges warehouse space as required for optimal access to various materials. 
  • Create new and better ways to improve inventory operations, methods, and procedures; proposes significant and constructive ideas for innovation.
  • Evaluate work performance by conducting performance reviews.  Identify skills and knowledge gaps in your team members and then coach them to close those gaps. 
  • Work collaboratively with other Supervisors, Leads, and Managers to increase Productivity and ensure Quality.
  • Lead operational, safety, and equipment training for team members.
  • Communicate updates to stakeholders and other departments as needed.
  • Manage floor-level day-to-day staff including setting staffing schedules and performance management responsibilities (hiring/firing.)

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Production Management, Supply Chain, or commensurate experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in warehousing and inventory control.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a lead, foreman, or supervisor in a manufacturing environment. 
  • At least one (1) year of experience with scheduling work and managing employee tasks.
  • At least one (1) year of experience operating lift equipment, including forklift.
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience using ERP software such as Oracle or SAP
  • Able to prioritize, and delegate tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.  Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in warehousing and inventory control.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Qualified forklift certification.
  • Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • 3 years’ Experience using Oracle ERP software.
