We are seeking an IT System Administrator to provide application support for CAD software offerings across our global company.  This includes at its foundation the engineering process, configuration, and management around technologies (Windchill, Autodesk, Creo, and custom applications) for employees in our 20+ offices worldwide.  

The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive, CAD process-minded individual, who enjoys troubleshooting and root cause analysis. He or she will work collaboratively with IT and Business teams to maintain the technology solutions which support key functions for CAD and PLM services.

The opening will report to the IT Application Services Supervisor within IT Operations but will have dotted lines to our Digital Solution Engineering Program team.

Responsibilities:  
  • Interface with CAD/PDM engineering users to optimize workflows and processes
  • Troubleshoot and optimize usage of engineering software offerings  
  • Maintain user accounts and permission in global PLM system
  • Ownership of CAD related configuration items, templates, and add-ins
  • Support engineering program team with product lifecycle upgrades and implementations 
  • Manage SaaS third party vendors as part of application ownership
  • Document engineering systems troubleshooting and configuration for Tier 1 support resources where necessary
  • Provide guidance to users on best practices in Model Based Design (MDB)
  
Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or relevant work experience 
  • Minimum 4 years of proven CAD drafting experience 
  • Experience managing PDM and CAD applications 
  • Self-managed; ability to work well alone and in a global team environment 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned work according to business needs and priorities  
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to perform root cause analysis. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills  
  • Experience in CAD and PDM applications, such as Inventor, Creo and Windchill preferred
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT management solution for ticket tracking/resolution preferred
