Laitram’s Information Technology Services Department has an opening for an IT Security System Administrator, reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager. The primary responsibilities for this position will include cyber/information security system monitoring, incident response, event tracking and assisting the IT Security Team with various projects and initiatives.

  • Regular monitoring and maintenance of systems that manage and support cyber/information security within the global organization
  • Triage, investigation and documentation of cyber/information security events and incidents within the global organization
  • Staying informed of current cyber/information security news and trends.
  • Assisting the IT Security Team with long range planning and development of information technology security strategies, systems, architecture, and policies
  • Assisting with propagating, maintaining, and measuring compliance against security policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Participation in projects to address cyber/information security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Global travel opportunities as business needs require


  • Undergraduate technical or business degree or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Information Technology systems in a Corporate environment, including Microsoft and UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including creating system and procedural documentation
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work according to business need
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.  In most cases this will be planned, but some instances will involve little advanced notice
  • Self-managed and works well in a team environment
  • Previous experience as a Network/System/Security Administrator or current Security Certification preferred.
