Laitram has an opening for an IT Manager responsible for overseeing an organization of system engineers that design and deliver solutions around our Infrastructure, Identity, and Digital Workplace programs.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a process-oriented focus on improving and maturing the department’s engineering capabilities in support of continued business growth.  They will be a people manager first, ensuring our supervisors and technical resources have the processes and tools to do their jobs well.  This person will help to build consensus between multiple Business/IT stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). This role reports to the Laitram Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will manage a team of supervisors as well as individual contributors.  The candidate will be able to work in a Plan – Build – Run operating model, leading the Build function.

Responsibilities:
  • Drives planning, development, and execution of IT solution design & delivery processes and capabilities
  • Oversee technical delivery teams to ensure that project deliverables meet business objectives and maintain alignment with existing architecture principles
  • Establish effective working teams by hiring, training, and mentoring employees in the technical design and delivery function
  • Coordinate with other IT and Business Leaders to ensure consistency in approach and effective transitions from Strategy & Planning to Design & Delivery, and into Operations
  • Coordinate with IT Leadership and Program Managers to ensure successful planning and management of resources across projects
  • Establish, manage, and maintain relationships with outside consultants to expand capacity for delivery in support of technology projects

Requirements:
  • B.S. in a technology or business area; or related management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience leading a team
  • 5+ years’ experience managing projects and/or programs; proven experience in technical resource and vendor management in ServiceNow or similar tools
  • Experience in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project methodologies
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
  • Demonstrated success in cross department and cross team integration and coordination
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
