We are seeking an IT Architect (Information Security) who will develop effective architectures for securing our applications and systems.  The successful candidate will lead in the creation of a technology vision for the information security systems (e.g., vulnerability management, infrastructure security, cloud security, operation technology security, disaster recovery, etc.).  They will develop security standards for our project and product teams to leverage.  They will also have an excitement for enabling a growing, global manufacturing company through properly secured technology.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a critical thinker, and a problem solver who can effectively communicate the benefits of secure-by-design thinking and infosec industry trends to a diverse audience.  This position will report to the IT Strategy & Planning manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive Information Security architecture strategy by partnering with business and IT leadership to understand, validate, and rationalize cybersecurity needs across the global enterprise
  • Create and maintain a technology vision for Information Security
  • Work within cross-functional teams of project managers, business analysts, architects, engineers, developers, and administrators to provide expertise in the planning and design of business initiatives as they relate to Information Security
  • Contribute to the technical design of business systems to ensure adherence to our security standards
  • Work with the Operational Technology (OT) team to segment and secure equipment at our manufacturing facilities
  • Align with other Domain Architects and Enterprise Architects to ensure holistic thinking
  • Create Architecture documents to support and capture design decisions

Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience)
  • Previous experience architecting security or infrastructure systems is required
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
  • Proven ability to help in the organization and sequencing of business and IT-created demands
  • Full-stack knowledge of IT Infrastructure concepts like Applications, Databases, Operating Systems, IP Networks, Compute and Storage Systems, and Containers
  • Experience with conducting threat-modeling exercises on applications and services
  • Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR and other global privacy regulations
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework and Architecture frameworks like TOGAF
