Global Category Manager, Logistics
Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Global Category Manager, Logistics. As a member of the procurement team, the qualified individual will be responsible for closely collaborating with the logistics and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement throughout our logistics category. The candidate will be required to bring current knowledge of leading providers, best practices, and emerging trends in the respective logistics services areas and support strategic efforts to secure the best possible commercial model for lane, aligning performance, risk, timing, and cost.

Responsibilities:
Global Logistics Category Manager:
- Develop strategic relationships with industry experts to build out logistics-specific SWOT analysis.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of category objective strategy for Intralox’s internal supply chain and customer shipments by mode
- Support the development of carrier strategies and implement transportation initiatives that will improve lead-time, cost, on-time service, and truckload utilization
- Execute sourcing activities for end-to-end logistics spend including development of bid cadence, bid execution, contracting, supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop countermeasures and risk mitigation plans based on high-probability market scenarios
- Analyze cost to serve, identify gaps and engage with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, quality) to capture business requirements and ensure qualification and efficient onboarding/transition of suppliers
- Manage strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve efficient, reliable, and cost-effective logistics solutions
- Build and maintains proactive communication with carrier leadership to support mutually beneficial business relationships improving near and long-term network capabilities
- Partnership with Logistics team to track performance of operations and transportation execution of suppliers; timely resolves performance problems that could impact flow of customer shipment or internal supply chains; proactively develops contingency plans and manages crisis situations
- Global Logistics subject matter expert in logistics rate and fuel inflation/deflation and forecasting
- Manage the analysis of modal/carrier cost and performance to benchmark service standards and applicable trends to ensure contracted service level agreements and budgeted operating costs are being met; decisively develops plans for any gaps in performance
- Perform quarterly business reviews for all strategic suppliers within logistics space
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ Years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management or Sourcing.
- Strong mathematical aptitude with analytical skills. Ability to perform data analysis using MS Excel and/or SQL
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Demonstrated relationships/network across multiple modes in the transportation space
- 5+ years global logistics-related sourcing experience, consulting, buyer, business, and/or analyst experience
- Demonstrate success with implementing transformations, change management, problem solving and process thinking
- Experience leading complex problem-solving
- Demonstrate experience managing a cross functional team
- Oracle experience in a global environment
