Laitram LLC is currently seeking Freelancers to develop and design innovation and engaging learning technology solutions on course and/or project base adhering to our established standards.

This Freelancer will work with internal Program Managers and/or Subject Matter Experts to effectively translate pre-designated content and/or concepts into user-friendly, professional learning programs, adhering to adult learning theories.

We are looking for industry experts who can provide a variety of learning technology options depending upon the type of content. Examples include, blended video productions, reality- based and experiential scenarios, Interactivity and assessments, and simulations.

Qualifications:

  • Digital Learning Designer work experience for 3+ years
  • Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia or other Digital Learning Software a must.
  • Successfully designed online learning experiences with high rates of retention and completion.
  • Ability to create quizzes and assessments related to content within modules.
  • Understands course progressions and can turn existing content into sequence of modules
  • Research and development of new course content and market demand

Requirements:

  • Creating engaging digital training course content
  • Set and write out learning objectives for each course
  • Craft lesson and video descriptions
  • Interview Subject Matter Expert to flesh out content, when necessary
  • Determine evaluation criteria
  • Conduct independent research, if necessary
  • Attend video conference calls with clients and colleagues, when appropriate
  • Proficient in Google Drives/Docs, MS Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to take large amounts of content and organize, prioritize and formulate a plan to optimize it for effective coursework
  • Ability to write clear instructional copy • Strong grammar skills
  • Good skills as self-directed contractor
  • Solid time management skills - must meet benchmarks 
  • Must have own computer, Internet access

Desired Experience:

  • In one or more industries: Educational Technology, Continuing or Adult Education, Publishing, Training, Coaching, and Higher Education.

Compensation:

  • Independent contractor status; Hourly and/or per-project pay commensurate with education and experience; Candidate must complete I-9 and W-4 forms
