Intralox is seeking an innovative engineer to develop high-value solutions that integrate Intralox’s cutting-edge conveyance technology into automated material handling systems in the parcel and e-commerce industries.   

This position is located at an Intralox facility in Hanover, MD near Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

  • Analyze customer operations to gain a deep understanding of their criteria, challenges, and opportunities to optimize their conveyance systems with innovative solutions.  
  • Develop equipment layout concepts, determine appropriate integration scope, and estimate costs.
  • Make recommendations based on where Intralox technology and services provide value in comparison to other technologies.
  • Evaluate risk and determine the best options to mitigate risk in projects. 
  • Work with a proposal team to document technical scope and pricing for new projects.
  • Support the sales teams in presenting detailed solutions to customers using tools such as CAD and simulation software.
  • Identify gaps in our products and services. Add ideas to improve Intralox technology and develop new applications.
  • Up to 30% travel possible for customer meetings, occasional system troubleshooting, trade shows, and training.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field – preferably within material handling or integration of automated systems.
  • Proven capability of completing and documenting projects in an organized manner.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer facing experience.
  • Analytical problem solver and willing to be “hands-on”.
  • Ability to travel including some weekends as required.
  • Experience with CAD and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills.  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of conveyance related systems strongly desired.
  • Previous experience with automated material handling systems.
  • Familiar with electrical controls systems.
