Intralox LLC, a division of Laitram LLC, has a position available for an Engineering Technician who will work in our New Orleans office to support our new product development team in the creation of innovative, high-value solutions for challenging real-world problems.

Responsibilities: 
  • Execute testing of new and existing products and document results. 
    • Build and test modular belts and components. 
    • Execute product performance and application tests. 
    • Prepare samples and run material property tests. 
  • Maintain workshop and test areas including the enforcement of housekeeping standards. 
  • Provide training on the operation of test equipment as needed. 

Requirements: 
  • Degree in Engineering Technology or minimum 2 years of related work experience.  
  • If no degree, Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or mechanical/electromechanical trade. Preference given to trades such as auto, aircraft, or industrial machinery mechanic, installation or field service technician, controls technician etc.  
  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and good analytical skills 
  • Basic mechanical expertise, advanced skills preferred. 
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools. 
  • Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, drives, and PLCs preferred. 
  • Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and be able to work outside at times. 
  • Willingness to travel on occasion (5% of the time or less) - customers site visits, training, installations, etc.
