Responsibilities:

  • Assembles and tests control systems per specifications to fulfill production and service orders on a production schedule
  • Assembles and tests developmental or operational motor-control devices (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, etc.), switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering specifications and knowledge of electrical principles
  • Diagnoses cause of electrical malfunction, mechanical malfunction, operational equipment failure then performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer
  • Provide electrical support to Service Department and customers
  • Maintain electrical inventory – perform inventory transactions and cycle count
  • Maintain file management system for electrical control systems
  • Perform Electrical Shop housekeeping tasks
  • Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary

 

Requirements:

  • Associates or B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • 2 years working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, low and high voltage
  • Logical thinker with efficient troubleshooting skills
  • Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good people and communication skills 
  • Able to communicate troubleshooting procedures and solutions to customers and servicemen
  • Self-managed
  • Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 45 pounds

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 years PLC Programming experience
