The ERP Supervisor will be responsible for leading and mentoring our ERP programmers as they maintain / enhance the Oracle ERP and related systems and deliver on key projects. The ideal candidate will be a people manager first, ensuring the team have the support, learning, and tools to do their jobs well.  The candidate will work in a Plan-Build-Maintain delivery model, helping supervise the build and maintain functions. 

This requires they: 
  • Bring best practices to how we plan and execute work across all phases of the System Development Lifecycle 
  • Provide consistent time estimates to Project Managers on the effort required for deliverables
  • Implement measures that help us identify and avoid resource or plan conflicts
  • Be accountable for communication on key initiatives and planning.  For example: on-going status updates, key deliverables, and plan tracking.

This role provides an opportunity to help us evolve critical ERP systems according to our roadmaps. This means the role has the potential to extend into helping us with implementing key new systems – from warehouse management to transportation management, manufacturing execution systems and the like. This Supervisor will report directly to our ERP Practice Manager.

Job responsibilities: 
  • Ensure project deliverables meet business objectives and maintain alignment with existing architecture principles 
  • Ensure effective working teams by training and mentoring team in the technical design and delivery function 
  • Align project teams to the ServiceNow project model (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Deliver, and Close) 
  • Assist project / program managers in developing milestones, time, and resource requirements for technical elements
  • Work with business led teams to ensure effective, timely execution of business initiatives.
  • Ensure work is compliant with department technical standards and best practices for programming and development.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain relationships with outside consultant teams to expand capacity for delivery in support of technology projects 
  • Oversee offshore incident support teams to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of issues
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process and system improvement

Minimum requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or Master’s in Business Administration with relevant technical experience
  • 5 years’ experience leading a team
  • 8+ years’ experience with Oracle EBS with concentrated focus on manufacturing
  • Experience in technologies such as Java, PL/SQL, Oracle, and .NET a plus
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills a must
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must work well in a collaborative, team environment
  • Oracle Cloud migration experience would be preferred
