We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical Customer Quality Engineer to join our Equipment Manufacturing Quality Department. The Quality Engineer designs, implements, and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques based on Customer Requirements and interfaces with all other functions within the organization and with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.

·  Represent the voice of the customer on quality related topics to improve and sustain customer quality satisfaction

·  Provide customer quality support by understanding customer quality requirements and expectations

·  Build up and maintain customer relationships, especially customers’ quality teams, to understand their needs and effective resolution to the issues

·  Identify potential improvement areas between customers’ expectations and Intralox’s performance and work with cross functional teams to make our customer successful

·  Work with other functions within Intralox to implement process/product improvements

·  Review/update Quality Assurance Plans with respective customers

·  Assign customer complaints to respective departments and facilitate problem solving with those teams and drive effective closures

·  Analyze customer complaint data to determine issues that need RCCA and report out to leadership team in a timely manner

·  Drive closure of customer complaints and reduction of incoming customer complaint rate

·  Reduce time to closure of customer complaints.

·  Train others on using customer complaint management system.

·  Ensure effective containments and corrective actions are in place with internal teams.

·  Limit our company’s exposure (safety, financial, reputation) for any deviations

·  Provide world-class customer services throughout the products life cycle.

·  Build product knowledge to develop or improve product specifications, identify potential failure modes, assess root cause, improve product performance, and drive risk management.

·  Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing processes, and evaluation. 

·  Apply statistical process control (SPC) and other statistical methods of analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes to ensure customer and internal requirements are met. 

·  Compile technical data and other key process information to determine product/process specifications and establish baselines.  

·  Devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. 

·  Ability to effectively define problems through data analysis, propose workable solutions to minimize defects and waste. 

·  Ability to define and work on data driven six sigma type projects. Determine statistical process capabilities and implement process control systems designed to improve consistency, product yield, quality, and throughput rates. 

·  Read engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of parts/ products and services. 

·  Perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. 

·  Measure product dimensions examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications. 

·  Exhibit teamwork and self-management 

·  Follow the attendance policy of the Department 

·  Follow all safety procedures and policies

·  Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager


·                BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent 

·                A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality related position in a manufacturing environment 

·                Proficient in MS Word and Excel 

·                Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines. 

·                Must possess strong attention to detail and sense of urgency to respond to issues. 

·                Knowledge of Quality Core Tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC) 

·                Ability to travel 20%, including on weekends and holidays 

·                Ability to lift 45 pounds or greater. 

Desired Qualifications: 

·                Experience in an equipment engineer-to-order and assemble-to-order manufacturing environment 

·                Experience with a QMS 

·                Possess an ASQ or equivalent certification 

·                Experience in a mass production inspection environment. 

·                Experience implementing SPC and/or six-sigma concepts. 

·                Knowledge of best practices for the Quality Assurance function in a Manufacturing environment. 

·                Experience with quality tools such as CMM or other measuring systems.
