Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has a position available for an Applications Engineer with a strong background in mechanical technologies to provide technical service and support to the commercial sales teams for installation of our modular plastic belting technology and ThermoDrive technology in conveyance. Ideally, this candidate would be located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Responsibilities:
- Perform varied technical and sales roles to support, develop and promote modular plastic belt conveying applications
- Provide technical assistance and training to sales account managers and customers, remotely by phone, through written correspondence, video conference, and in-person at customer facilities
- Support, coordinate and supervise belt installations in customer facilities
- Field troubleshooting and correction of any problem installations or applications
- Providing proactive technical consultation to customers through risk evaluations and design reviews of construction and retrofit projects
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with sales account managers and customers through timely, regular visits
- Mastering, implementing, and developing presentations about product, services and application knowledge utilizing software such as but not limited to MS PowerPoint, Dynamics, Teams, etc
- Service emphasis upon customers in North America
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Food Science, related discipline
- Minimum of 5+ years field service experience, 10 years preferred
- Experience in the food processing industry with significant experience in plant maintenance, hygiene, and sanitation with a food manufacturing company
- Excellent training and presentation skills with experience in delivering key messages
- Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage projects from start to finish with little supervision
- Customer service oriented personality and approach
- Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Analytical problem solver
- Work alongside food processors (especially Meat, Poultry and Seafood customers) to support implementation of recommendations and field services
- Desire to travel 55-60% of the time, including weekends. International travel may be required at times
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English, with fluency in Spanish desired
- Practical and hands on technical experience
