Are you a driven sales professional interested in technical industrial processes? Laitram Machinery, LLC is currently seeking an Account Manager.  As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for developing and managing commercial relationships with existing customers and driving sales results to strengthen the market position.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales results and strengthen the account position
  • Develop and manage commercial relationships with existing customers.
  • Proactively schedule regular customer visits, conference calls, and webcasts to fully understand customer problems and opportunities
  • Work with team to develop and execute effective strategies
  • Embrace the Laitram business philosophy.
Temporary Job Responsibilities (3/6 months)
  • Conduct strategic, competitive and industry analysis across multiple markets, applications, and selling channels.
  • New application testing
  • Product Sample creation
  • New market assessment, including industry analysis, building of account lists, understanding current process issues/needs, Laitram’s prospective value proposition, etc.
  • Research around technical/commercial items related to Laitram equipment sales

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university. (Business or Engineering preferred) or 6+ years of sales experience.
  • 2+ years experience working in sales or business development.
  • The ability to travel up to 50% is essential.
  • A positive, confident outlook along with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and technical skills.
  • An interest and aptitude in technical industrial processes.
  • Good organizational skills, with attention to details.
  • A passion for learning and growth, willingness and ability to be self-managed, and the acceptance of personal responsibility for results.
  • Capable of presenting an economic analysis (for example, cost/benefit analysis, payback analysis, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills - Excel and Word

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Business Development role.
  • Experience working in the food industry.
  • Industrial sales experience with solid commercial skills.
  • Team selling and use of remote selling tools – emails, conference calls, webcasts, video conferencing, etc.
