As part of the Assembly Team the Trainer-Production will be responsible for developing training programs for the Assembly and Materials Management groups.  The trainings will include hands on sub-assembly, machine assembly, final assembly and other training as needed.  The Trainer will establish clear training principles, identify training gaps, and schedule training without disrupting a high paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Assembly and Materials Management leads to expose training gaps.
  • Assess Team Members needs for training and track employee participation.
  • Develop training programs for the Assembly and Material Management groups.
  • Align training with our strategic goals and establish clear training principles.
  • Create and manage training budgets.
  • Review and select training materials to fit operational needs.
  • Update training programs for relevance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training program and trainers.
  • While training follow all safety procedures and policies.
  • Design and create training manuals.
  • Deliver training sessions using lectures, group discussions, team exercises and hands on experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and on-call hours as required.
  • Exhibit teamwork and self-management.
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies. 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 1 year of previous training experience.
  • At least 1 year of facilitation experience.
  • Must possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent public speaker.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and team player.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with all levels and types of people.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple needs and requests from the business while setting realistic expectations and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferences:

  • Lean Certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of assembly and TPS principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Intralox products and fluent in LCI principles.
