Laitram has an opening for an IT Supervisor responsible for managing the team that designs and delivers commercially available technology solutions.


The ideal candidate will be a people manager first, ensuring technical resources have the support and tools to do their jobs well.  This person will help to build consensus between multiple Business/IT stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). This supervisor will report to the IT Project Design & Delivery Manager and will supervise a team of IT System Engineers specialized around different technology domains (e.g., Identity & Access, Network, Endpoint, etc.).  The candidate will be able to work in a Plan – Build/Buy – Run delivery model, helping to manage the Build/Buy function.

  • Oversee technical delivery teams to ensure that project deliverables meet business objectives and maintain alignment with existing architecture principles
  • Establish effective working teams by hiring, training, and mentoring employees in the technical design and delivery function
  • Provide early visibility of risks to Program Managers, and Business and IT leadership; help to address
  • Align project teams to the ServiceNow project model (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Deliver, and Close)
  • Coordinate with other IT and Business Leaders to ensure consistency in approach and effective transitions from Business and Program Planning, to Design and Delivery, and into business-as-usual Operations
  • Coordinate with Program and Project Managers to ensure planning and management of resources across projects
  • Establish, manage, and maintain relationships with outside consultants to expand capacity for delivery in support of technology projects
  • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; or related technical experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience leading a team
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing projects and/or programs; proven experience in technical resource and vendor management
  • Experience in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project methodologies
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
  • Demonstrated success in cross department and cross team integration and coordination
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
