Laitram, LLC has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst position at its Harahan, LA headquarters.  Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this individual will play a vital role in improving the reporting and analysis across operating divisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with operating groups and other functions to analyze financial results, variances to plan, and monitor risks and opportunities to plan
  • Prepare Total Company financial results for monthly business review meetings 
  • Develop expertise in Power BI reporting capability that facilitate business decisions
  • Create dashboards and data visualizations that enable quick and easy consumption by business leaders
  • Play a key role in annual Company-wide budget consolidation and analysis
  • Perform monthly close processes, reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
  • Member of Corporate Accounting team, support team members as needed
  • Develop ad hoc reports and financial analyses, and work on special projects

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • MBA, CPA, or other professional designation a plus
  • Three to five years of finance or professional accounting or experience
  • Experience with Power BI, Oracle, or other ERP systems is desirable
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent written and oral communication, as well as project management skills 
  • Strong initiative and leadership, ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and work cross-functionally with various departments
  • Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate problems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet established deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy
