Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with New Product Development and Manufacturing teams to establish, document, and publish quality specifications and tolerances during new product design and release to manufacturing
  • Establish internal inspection and testing procedures and communicate quality issues to various stakeholders
  • Develop customized tools used in inspection and testing, including gauge analysis

  • Determines when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.
  • Conduct quality inspections. Review and analyze part measurement results, recommend changes to processes based upon findings, and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
  • Facilitates and promotes use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action for investigations.
  • Oversee suppliers’ quality assurance programs to ensure objectives are aligned and met

  • Researches new quality technology and champions implementation of valuable technologies into our environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in quality engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated record of self-management
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in standard software packages (MS Office, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis
  • Passion for learning and growth
  • Works well as a team player; cooperates with others
  • Must have the ability to travel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional quality certifications (ASQ, etc...)
  • Experience in the plastics injection molding and extrusion industry
  • Experience in material mechanics
  • Experience in polymer processing and characterization
  • Six Sigma designation
