Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Project Manager in our Odenton, MD office.


The position is for a Project Manager in a newly created Life Cycle Service group in the Postal Integration Team. The Postal Integration Team specializes in turnkey material handling solutions for mailing industry. The Life Cycle Service group is supporting the end users post go live with various service offerings, including service support, audits, fault finding and repair, upgrades, training etc.



The desired candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to perform both ‘office’ and in the field work.


This position initially requires some amount of travel (up to 30%) with some project work taking place on holidays and weekends to meet customer scheduling requirements.

  • Assists in scheduling of FSE visits to customer sites
  • Actively manage projects by monitoring progress, coordinating cross team activities and proactively identifying and resolving potential resource or process conflicts.
  • Identifying project risk and develop plans for risk mitigation.
  • Identify processes gaps that may occur in our growing platform, assess implications and work with various teams to implement change.
  • Manages internal functional groups such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering, technology transfer (training and manuals) and installation teams assigned to the project.
  • Estimates installation labor times and issues requisitions for subcontracts to suppliers.
  • Reviews installation mechanical and electrical drawings and schedules.
  • Uses software such as MS Office Project, Word and Excel, AutoCAD and ORACLE ebusiness suite to accomplish job responsibilities.
  • Champions and ensures company culture is implemented and adhered to within their team
  • Creates and streamlines processes and procedures for efficient and successful projects
  • Communicates with other departments as necessary to ensure group and company activities are synchronized and necessary processes are created/implemented
  • Attends trainings or self-trains to continuously improve skillsets.
  • Assist in onsite training meetings and presentations where required
  • Assist in developing new relevant service offerings


  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4 years in the Project Manager of material handling or related technical experience.
  • Proficient at working from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills with engineering groups, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ability to see the commercial opportunities in service
  • A self-managed individual who is a team player.
  • Must have ability to lift 70 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Position located at Intralox offices in Baltimore, Maryland.
  • PMP Certification preferred
