Intralox, LLC is currently seeking a Project Manager for the New Product Development Team in the Equipment platform. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing projects through Intralox’s product development process- from ideation to fielded solutions. This Project Manager will work in our Baltimore, Maryland office to support our new product development team in the creation of innovative, high-value solutions for challenging real-world problems.

This Project Manager will be working with driven and talented people across multiple departments. For a person to be successful in this role, they need to be highly motivated to learn new things, enjoy navigating complexity and demonstrate a wide degree of creativity.

Responsibilities
• Manages New Product Development projects from feasibility to completed solution
• Develops, monitors, and controls a detailed scope of work, and schedule.
• Plans, directs, and manages project related tasks.
• Work with commercial team and customers to determine product requirements
• Serve as primary point of contact for all project stakeholders and communicate information at the right time, to the right audience
• Conduct risk assessment for each project opportunity to help prioritize work and mitigate risks for work that is activated.
• Coordinates resources across multiple departments with input from other functional managers
• Has mastered commonly used project management concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Self-driven and motivated- working to implement and improve processes

Skills needed to be successful-
• Ability to navigate within complex topics – understand the big picture while also being able to dive into the details
• Ability to manage projects with large development scope including many interdependencies
• Ability to turn very loose front-end problem or opportunity statements into actionable requirements
• Outstanding communication skills-
• Report to multiple different stakeholder groups- understanding of who needs to know what when.
• Ability to tailor communication and task management depending on development stage and team members involved
• Holds well planned and productive meetings
• Creates clear and concise documentation
• Simplifies complex information where possible

• Validate assumptions
• Technically minded- ability to understand and communicate many different technical concepts related to both mechanical and electrical design. Not required to be an engineer or technical SME but needs to be able to grasp and communicate technical topics with a general understanding.
• Creative problem solver- ability to remove obstacles and resolve issues for team members
• Project Management Process Knowledge - willingness to follow processes that are in place and work to improve processes as needed
• Adaptable- able to pivot quickly when new information is learned

Requirements
• B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years Project Management experience
• Understanding of Project Management processes and best practices
• Inquisitive: Great at asking questions to get to truth
• Experience working in cross functional teams
• Proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel and AutoCAD
• Effective communication (verbal and written)
• Strong interpersonal skills with engineering groups, operations groups, customers, suppliers, and contractors
• A self-managed individual who is a team player and open to new ideas to facilitate continuous improvement
• Travel Required (~10%)

Desired Qualifications
• PMP or formal Project Management training
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
