Lapeyre Stair, Inc has an opening for a Project Coordinator with our Engineering group.

Lapeyre Stair manufactures industrial, commercial, and residential metal stair systems and their associated walkways, platforms, ramps, handrail systems, etc.

Assist the Project Manager in leading key projects to completion:

  • Coordinate with Project Managers all aspects of the project life cycle between Lapeyre Stair departments and the customer.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables with assistance from the project management team
  • Review and understand project proposals, contract documents, specifications scope of work, schedules, and ensure that all contractual terms and obligations are maintained
  • Proven ability to read and interpret steel shop drawings and design drawings and understand and relate to field installation of components
  • Schedule and attend turnover meetings
  • Meet and confer with architects, contractors, steel fabricators, and field crews to verify completeness and accuracy of drawings, contracts, and obligations
  • Assure proper accounting for project change orders
  • Prepare project progress reports as needed
  • Review and deliver project submittals, submittal status, release and delivery


  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) required or 3+ years experience as a project coordinator.
  • Previous project coordination experience in the steel or construction industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting steel shop drawings, architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
  • Previous experience as a fabricator, erector or steel detailer beneficial
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel.
