Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services has an opening for a Mold Maintenance Technician in the Mold Shop. Technicians are responsible for the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of Plastic Injection Tooling with a high level of accuracy. Other tasks include troubleshooting tooling problems, minor repairs, configuration changes, and the replacement of tooling components.

Responsibilities

Keeping production molds in a ready to run state.

Receiving information from the previous shift and ensuring a smooth transition.

Troubleshooting and predicting mechanical and performance issues in our molds.

Inspecting and analyzing critical components both old and new for defects.

Identify and prioritize planned and unplanned work related to molds, focusing on the highest-priority tasks.

Effectively communicate via email, radio, and comments on work orders to coordinate tasks and share critical information.

Fabricate new hydraulic shafts and hoses as needed 

It is essential that this position be performed at the facility.


Requirements

High school diploma or GED required

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Familiarity with reading blue prints and schematics

Required to work a 12 hour shift. (days and nights as needed).

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to become proficient in operating cranes and forklifts.

Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical knowledge a plus.

Effective communication (verbal and written)

Strong attention to detail.

Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 64 pounds.


Desired Qualifications

Mold Making or Injection Mold processing experience or training

CAD/CAM/CNC experience or training

Machining and/or Mechanical experience

Experience working with Mills and lathes

Previous experience troubleshooting tooling problems and repairs. 

Minimum of (3) years of hands-on technical experience with a proven work history.

Previous manufacturing, machine shop, injection molding or plastics experience.
