Intralox, LLC has an opening for an Industrial Engineer to work in the Manufacturing Engineering Group (MEG). RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes by eliminating waste.

  • Utilize process improvement methodologies such as value stream mapping, lean, and Six Sigma to identify areas of opportunity.  Champion these principles.  

  • Manage the implementation of those opportunities through individual projects or as subprojects of larger programs

  • Responsible for compiling justification information: labor, process, space, throughput, etc.

  • Teach, train, coach and champion Industrial Engineering

  • Identify and develop metrics that measure productivity.  Recommend tools for long term tracking

  • Develop or analyze and optimize SOP’s

  • Optimize plant layouts

  • Develop relationships with stakeholders that promotes the exchange of ideas and information.  Is genuinely inquisitive and curious to learn more.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Industrial Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering or related fields
  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Proficient in process mapping software
    • MS Visio
    • eVSM®, smartdraw® or similar software
  • Ability to work unsupervised and work well within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Experience in high mix low volume environment
  • Experience in manufacturing or process industries.  Plastics manufacturing a strong plus.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition Systems
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD
  • Experience with programming and information systems integration
