Commercial Food Sanitation, LLC (CFS), an Intralox company, has an opportunity for an individual with experience in Sanitation, Food Safety, and Quality  leadership. This position is critical as CFS works with global food processors who demand consistency in programs and food safety standards. The successful candidate is customer focused and must be able to communicate with personnel at all levels of responsibility within an organization. A high-level of technical ability is necessary for the candidate to provide material input for customer engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team and industry segment within the CFS North American consulting business.  Develop and deliver strategies to provide customer and segment value and support the CFS global strategies.  
  • Support and demonstrate company culture (LCI program) expectations. 
  • Actively engage in global Bakery and Snack segment collaboration and calibration for customer support. 
  • Assess regional and global food processors and provide objective, world class recommendations utilizing the CFS Preventive Plan Continuum. 
  • Support troubleshooting, guidance on implementation and mitigation for food safety challenges. 
  • Be a lead facilitator and trainer in the CFS Institute.  Lead presentations, and breakouts for a global customer base. 
  • Support or lead on-site customer workshop trainings. 
  • Collaborate with Intralox account teams to support Intralox customers strategies in the areas of Food Safety, Sanitation, and Hygienic Design. 
  • Effectively communicate with personnel at all functions and levels of responsibility within the customer’s organization 
  • Provide training and make recommendations to equipment manufacturers on Hygienic Design Principles and strategies. 
  • Support development of future training offerings, including digital, as well as future customer support offerings. 
  • Be an active member of the food industry community.  This will include engagement and speaking opportunities in Food Industry conferences and tradeshows.  


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Microbiology or related field. 
  • Passionate about Hygiene/Sanitation and Food Safety. 
  • Significant leadership experience in food processing.  Desire a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a manager in Food Quality, Food Safety, or equivalent position in the Bakery, Meat, Poultry, Dairy, and/or Produce industry.  
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel within a company. 
  • Excellent training and presentation skills and the ability to explain food safety concepts to those not specialized in the field. 
  • Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage projects from start to finish with little supervision. 
  • Ability to effectively work on a team, either as a leader or member of the team. 
  • Solid understanding of Hygienic Design and cleaning concepts. 
  • Knowledge of process control and general food manufacturing principles. 
  • Ability and desire to innovate and invent, to create and implement new ideas and processes for sanitation. 
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP. 
  • Desire to travel 55-60% of the time.  International travel may be required at times. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English, with fluency in a second language a plus.
