Position: Equipment Application Engineer in Logistics, Material Handling, and Automated Distributions Centers.

Intralox, L.L.C., seeks a creative engineer with a blend of technical and commercial skills to work with customers in material handling and the rapidly evolving e-commerce market to apply our innovative solutions to their automated systems. Equipment Application Engineers optimize customers’ processes and conveyor system layouts with Intralox’s cutting-edge ARB technology.

This position is located at an Intralox facility near Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Build in-depth understanding of Intralox technology, capabilities, and value.
  • Develop innovative solutions and system layout concepts while utilizing CAD and simulation software.
  • Evaluate the scope of new opportunities and make recommendations based on where our technology provides value in comparison to competing technologies.
  • Evaluate risk and determine best options to mitigate risk in projects.
  • Deliver accurate complete technical scope and pricing to customers and internal resources to ensure efficient execution on every project.
  • Recognize opportunities to improve Intralox technology and gather information and ideas to develop new applications based on market needs.
  • Up to 30-40% travel possible for customer and internal meetings, occasional system troubleshooting, and training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or similar technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commercial affinity; customer oriented mind-set.
  • Analytical problem solver; practical and willing to be “hands-on”.
  • Proven capability of completing and documenting projects in an organized manner.
  • Contributor to a team environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiar with electrical controls systems.
