Prime Shrimp, a division of Laitram Machinery,  has an opening for a cross-functional Data Analyst Intern on its team. The qualified individual will be responsible for collecting, organizing and analyzing market, business, production and financial data to draw conclusions and make 'insight to action' recommendations that advance business objectives and drive change. Responsibilities

  • Working with team leaders to compile/aggregate data relevant to key departmental initiatives.
  • Efficiently organize and analyze data.
  • Creating reports and presenting findings that clearly convey meaningful and/or actionable market intelligence and industry insights to team leaders.
  • Being a great team player, supporting additional business needs as capacity allows.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Data & Analytics, Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline. 
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Advanced/Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • 0-2 years of comparable experience
  • Foundational level of business acumen in the areas of data management, operations/project management and market/industry analysis

A minimum of 10 hours per week is required throughout the Internship, which can extend through May 2020. The intern must be present in the office at least two days per week, but additional remote work is acceptable.
