Intralox L.L.C. is seeking an innovative and self-directed person to join our multi-functional Product Stewardship team at the Intralox, Harahan office.  Reporting to the Product Stewardship Manager, the Application Engineer will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise globally for Intralox Belting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates global performance-related customer complaints for modular plastic belting and Thermodrive products
  • Works within cross-functional teams to investigate external customer complaints and drives to root cause
  •  Leads investigation and root cause analysis of high-risk issues
  • Documents results of high-risk investigations and assists with post mortem incident reviews
  • Reviews returned product samples and coordinates testing with internal and external labs
  • Provides technical assistance and training to internal technical resources, account managers and customers by phone, written reports, webcasts and in-person visits to customer facilities
  • Publishes monthly reports
  • Represents our company on external trade groups and teams to support business objectives

Requirements

  • A BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical design, commissioning or troubleshooting
  • Customer service-oriented personality and approach
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills including planning, scheduling, leadership and team building
  • Ability to handle multiple work interruptions and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word & PowerPoint)
  • Some travel requirement 5-10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese a plus
  • Statistics a plus
  • Oracle, NOETIX, SharePoint a plus
