Lapeyre Stair, a division of Laitram, LLC, has an opening for an Territory Account Manager. The ideal candidate must be located in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona to serve the Southwest region. As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for calling on new and existing accounts in all phases of the construction cycle: project conception, pre-bid, bid phases, & construction. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of strategies at specific accounts.

  • Prospect sales opportunities and develop new customer relationships including steel fabricators and general contractors. Introduce and evaluate customers’ need for Lapeyre Stair’s products, services, and solutions across applications. 
  • Regularly visit customers to identify opportunities where Lapeyre Stair can bring value, and introduce products, services, and solutions to our customers 
  • Present Lapeyre Stair management and peers with facts about customers and an accurate picture of the market so that effective strategy can be built and decisions made. Articulate and document company resources needed to bring sales to closure. 
  • Embrace the concept of team-based selling and “self management” in job performance. Look for opportunities to use team and company resources to further the ultimate goal of selling. 
  • Work with architects and specifiers to help them understand Lapeyre Stair products. Document and leverage customer-related information as required. 
  • Analyze blueprints & specifications, working directly with end users to develop and deliver project quotes. 
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships, building the customer base. 
  • B.S. or B.A. is strongly preferred from an accredited university 
  • Minimum 4 years proven sales experience with solid commercial skills. 
  • Construction, architectural product or estimating experience preferred. 
  • Proven record of calling on decision makers in all phases of the construction sales cycle, proactive outbound phone sales and new account development. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%. 
  • Interest and aptitude in metal fabrication, construction and architecture. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and team player. 
  • Excel / Microsoft Office skills
